The name dates back for over a thousand years and is named after a man called Focko….. Needless to say, the name of the village is an endless sources of humour, especially in connection with signs such as the one placed above. According to Wikipedia the villagers had a vote on changing the name of the village in 2004, because it was so expensive to replace all the stolen traffic signs. The residents voted against changing the name, and instead opted to secure the signs with steel and concrete to make them harder to steal. (3 votes, average: 3.33 out of 5) Spell check anyone?
It always annoys me when a company that has a lot of resources fails on the easiest of tasks: Making sure that the marketing material does not include incorrect spelling, especially the text in the biggest font. Availible | ||||||
